The class will highlight popular American decorative styles: Federal (1790 - 1810); Empire (1810 - 1840); Victorian (1840 - 1900) and early 20th century. Social history, lifestyles, valuation of furniture and decorative arts in today’s marketplace will be highlighted.
Also included: Participants will have an opportunity to work in the glass studio with a glass artist to create a paperweight and tour of surrounding points of interest to compare and contrast the pieces viewed in the museum.
