Description
Join us for the 3rd Annual ISA Gems & Jewelry Symposium on June 21st. We’ll take you on a journey through time as we explore the many keys in the foundations of jewelry design from their designers. Our 5 presenters will cover a wide range of interest including:
- We’ll begin with the ultimate French Jeweler.
- It will be followed by an introduction with the nature-inspired lines of Art Nouveau jewelry where a mixture of beauty and the grotesque are juxtaposed, as women were portrayed as goddesses, nymphs and even dragonflies.
- We continue into the parallel revival movement of the Arts and Crafts with a mantra to return to the past for techniques and design ideas.
- Next, we will learn about the pillar of American jewelry designs and their impact on 20th century jewels as we know them today.
- We end with an expert on glowing gem identification, the key foundation to jewelry evaluation.
