Question: I've been working on an appraisal assignment for the past month and the report is due next week. My inspection date is in December 2019, but my report date will be in January 2020. To which USPAP standards should I be writing?

Answer: This is an excellent question. Since the report will be issued in 2020, you are expected to write to the 2020-2021 edition of USPAP. Double check your USPAP Certification Statement as well as any other mention of USPAP in your report to make sure that you have the correct years in place.
