About

Craig is an experienced tax lawyer who represents businesses, individuals, trusts, family offices, and estates, in matters of tax litigation against federal, state, and local taxing jurisdictions; and advising on matters of structuring charitable donations, lending of artifacts to museums, historical societies, and other organizations that focus on providing education for the general public on the importance and evolution of antique firearms, swords, armour, and similar items of military significance.  He also served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army (Regular and Reserves) for 27 years; first as a Combat Engineer and then as an Army Lawyer in the Judge Advocate Generals Corps.

Craig has a passion for military history and antique weapons and accoutrements, particularly of the 16th - 19th century.  His passion to collect and study antique weapons, coupled with his particular areas of tax expertise in representing taxpayers before government tax agencies make him a highly sought after tax lawyer-litigator on matters of tangible, intangible, and business valuation.  Craig's experience in working with expert appraisers in many genres have led him to become an appraiser in his own right, where he focuses on the areas of arms & armour and militaria, for which he is also a very passionate collector.

Craig is a member, past President, and current General Counsel to the American Society of Arms Collectors, and president of its ASAC Foundation; the current President and former Governor of the Company of Military Historians; and the current Vice President of the Kentucky Rifle Association.  He is also a Life Member of the NRA and a member on its Gun Collector Committee where he judges educational exhibits of antique weapons sponsored by Arms and Armor collecting clubs who compete for awards at various NRA national and regional meetings held throughout the US.
