About
Mike Widmaier has over 20+ years of experience in the fine and rare wine industry. With a start in fine wine retail, Mike also worked in fine wine distribution sales, and for several wine auction houses. Mike's specialty is Private Wine Cellar Management, Wine Appraisals and Wine Cellar Evaluations. With continued wine education, Mike is a W.S.E.T. Level II Certified (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) and a Certified Sommelier thru the Court of Master Sommeliers. While pursuing to be a leader in the wine industry, Mike puts the needs of his clients first. Honest, Trustworthy, and Reliable are just a few characteristics that describe Mike. He has worked hard to develop the concept of Chicago Wine Consulting, eventually turning some side work that he was doing for a few high profile clients into a trusted Wine Consulting Firm.
