Dana Summitt, ISA AM, Founder of Look Appraisal, LLC, is a qualified appraiser with a specialty in fine art, a consultant, guest lecturer, and broker. She is an accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers, the leading professional personal property appraisal association, representing the most highly trained and rigorously tested independent appraisers in the United States and Canada. As an ISA AM, she has completed the ISA Core Course in Appraisal Studies, the ISA Fine Arts specialty course, has documented over 700 hours of market-related experience in the appraisal field, and is in compliance with the current Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (commonly known as USPAP). She is a member of the ISA Fine Art Committee and the ISA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force.

Based in Northwest Raleigh, not far from Research Triangle Park, Look Appraisal is tech-friendly - it's in our DNA. We connect with clients through Zoom, GoToMeeting, virtual tools, and on-site appointments and consultations to conduct inspections, deliver valuation results, and provide consulting etc., ... and if you aren't technical, it's okay! We're very well-versed in traditional business practices.

Written appraisals available for charitable donations to meet IRS requirements, estate settlement, property liquidations, insurance coverage and claims, property division among heirs or beneficiaries, estate tax, business contents valuation, equitable distribution, general valuations, and more. 

Verbal appraisals available for general “what’s it worth” valuations, in-person roadshow style appraisal fairs, downsize decision making, pre-sale walkthrough consulting for estate and private sales, and personal property beneficiary designation guidance.

Look Appraisal provides professional, qualified appraisal services for estates, banks, attorneys, trust officers, executors, museums, institutions, non-profits, businesses, families, and individual collectors. Our appraisals are USPAP compliant and done 100% in-house.

Event Speaker: As an experienced lecturer, the appraiser and female entrepreneur is available for in-person and remote speaking engagements for appraisal days, fundraising events, student groups, civic, clubs, and non-profit organizations.

Extensive experience in appraising: 20th Century - Impressionist & Modern - Contemporary American Paintings, Modern/Contemporary Prints and Engravings, Pop Art, Vintage Photographs, Rare and Antiquarian Books, Collectibles, Entertainment Memorabilia related to rock, punk and underground artists and bands, Office/Business/Residential Contents, and 20th Century Vintage Clothing.

An Indiana native, Ms. Summitt is a proud graduate of Ball State University. She resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with her family, surrounded by the tall whispering pine trees for which the beautiful Carolinas are known.

Service areas include greater Raleigh, Durham, RTP, Cary, Wilmington, Greensboro, OBX, central North Carolina, Pinehurst, Wake County, Durham County, Orange County, and select locations throughout the United States.
