About

Jaynes Appraisals provides clear, thorough, and professional appraisals for fine art and decorative arts items in the Pacific Northwest. We have been working in appraisals, museums, and galleries for eighteen years and bring this experience and knowledge to each appraisal.

Pamela Jaynes is an active participant and advocate of the Seattle arts community with extensive experience working with local artists and clients. She began working for a prominent Seattle appraisal firm in 2007. Since then, Pamela has built strong relationships with artists and helped clients build, manage, and protect their collections through appraisal work and work at local art galleries. She currently works at the Seattle Art Museum Gallery, helping clients build their collections of Pacific Northwest artists. She has considerable knowledge about art glass through work at Vetri, the Glass Art Society, and many years as a volunteer for the Pilchuck Glass School.

As a Certified Member of the International Society of Appraisers, she has taken a wide range of appraisal education courses, including classes about appraising books, Japanese prints, and antiquities. While earning her Masters Degree in Art History from the University of Washington, she specialized in Ancient Roman Art.
