About

Kathryn graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a BA in Art History, focusing in 19th-century painting, and a minor in Classics in 2016. She has worked at Sands of Time Gallery in Washington DC since 2016 and became their gallery manager in 2020. She has also worked at the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture in Bethesda, Maryland as a gallery assistant in each of their three art galleries. 

As a part of Sands of Time Appraisals, Kathryn gained valuable experience and knowledge working under an ISA CAAP appraiser, working on personal property appraisal assignments for non-cash charitable contributions, estate planning, insurance coverage and claims, and federal estate and gift tax. Every appraisal assignment is unique and therefore every appraisal report is individualized to the assignment and needs of the client (no generically manufactured reports here!). 

Kathryn has experience working with individual works of art as well as large collections, and has appraised Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Near Eastern, and Pre-Columbian antiquities as well as 19th- and 20th-century fine art.
