About

Kathleen Doyle is the principal of Antiquestor, (Latin: antiquus [antikwos]; ‘old’, ‘ancient’ + quaestor [kwaestor]; ‘investigator’,) an independent personal property appraisal firm with a focus on appraising antiques, furniture and decorative arts.  Private client experience includes estate appraising, downsizing and dispersals and insurance claims. 

Along with completing coursework required to attain Accredited Membership with the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), she also achieved a certification through the Asheford Institute of Antiques, with a focus on fine furniture and decorative arts. Furniture is her "first love" and while she admires and studies all styles, she has a particular affinity to Mid-Century Modern periods. With a master's degree in library science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, she applies a scholarly approach and diligence to the research process. Finally, she is USPAP compliant through 2024.

Antiquestor is headquartered in St. Charles in the Fox Valley, in the western suburbs of Chicago, servicing the Chicago-land area as far north as Milwaukee and Madison, WI, and west to Galena, IL.  There is a satellite office in Petoskey, MI, serving Charlevoix, Bay View, Harbor Springs, and the surrounding areas.
