JAMES GRAHAM FINLAY, MA ISA. AM.

Profile.

 James (Jim) Finlay holds degrees in Art and Art History, Fine Art (studio) and Art Education, a graduate diploma in Art History and an MA in Comparative Media Arts. He is an accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers, Fine Art Specialist (www.isa-appraisers.org). He has many years experience in the business of fine art appraisal and fine art wealth management and has performed IRS (Internal Revenue Service) Estate appraisals for the United States government as well as CCPERB (Canadian Cultural Export Property Review Board) appraisals for the Canadian government. His area of expertise includes antique and contemporary Canadian, American and International art works including oil and acrylic paintings, lithographs, etchings, drypoints, serigraphs, watercolours, drawings, photographs and sculpture. He is an author and educator and regularly contributes articles to various journals on such diverse topics as art authentication, art appraisal and fine art wealth management strategies.
